It is hard to narrow down which exact moment connects the dot from where you were to where you are, but I know that everything happens for a reason, and a lot of things led me to who and where I am today. In my life I have worked it all from finance to floral shops, and one thing has remained the same, my love of shopping. I chalked it up to just a usual female hobby, but as I have grown into the person I am today, I have realized it is so much more than that. It is something that excites me unlike anything else. I love timeless, classy pieces that never go out of style… I mean, have you ever seen white go out of style? I get my inspiration from the people and things around me, from travel, and honestly—however I feel that day. My number one rule of fashion has nothing to do with right and wrong. Instead, it has everything to do with being true to who you are.
When I quit my job at Merrill Lynch and was about to move back to California, a friend of mine told me to pray about the move and that he didn’t think I should leave. So, I did. I asked God to make it clear. As I was signing my Cali lease the next day, my boss came up to me and said he would double my salary if I would stay. I looked up and almost laughed in his face. I had gotten my clarity. One month later that same friend, who is now my fiancé, gave me my last first kiss. Boy am I glad I stayed.
For as long as I can remember, I prayed about finding my “perfect job.”
make me happy allow me to travel meet interesting people eat great food maybe, just maybe, do it alongside the love of my life
Every last item was crossed off and The Vogue Trip began. It took a lot of prayer, patience, and persistence from a few friends persuading me to go for it, and here I am. Come along! It’s gonna be a trip!
