WHERE TO GO + WHERE TO STAY IN SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

March 18, 2016

Sydney, Australia

Our first stop in Australia was Sydney, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. We stayed at the Park Hyatt Hotel, but this was not your average Hyatt. It sits directly on a peninsula on the Sydney Harbour overlooking the Opera House. We had a 360 view that was incredible, and if you ever plan to visit Sydney, this is the place to stay. The rooms were great, but it was the modern rooftop pool that topped it all off for us, and was the perfect way to spend an afternoon after our morning bridge climb.

With a few more recommendations, for dinner one evening, we ate the restaurant Ananas, which had a fun Moulin Rouge atmosphere. The food was delicious, and I would best describe it as French Mediterranean. YUM! For day activities, we climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge, it was a little touristy and a bit of a rush at moments, but totally worth it. Although we weren’t allowed to take our cameras, we were able to get some great and pretty cheesy photos with the “fancy” touristy framer. Ha! If heights are not for you, another MUST-DO while in Sydney is visit Manly Beach to soak up the sun and all its beauty. While you’re there, you need to check out The Pantry Manly; though we don’t drink very often anymore, we decided to kick off the trip with a few cocktails and some lunch. IT WAS SO GOOD!!Sydney, AustraliaSydney, Australia Sydney, AustraliaSydney, Australia Sydney, Australia

Though not in Sydney, one final recommendation, if you’re ever in Melbourne, Australia we highly suggest you eat at Chin Chin while you’re there. We were lucky enough to have someone recommend we try it at the beginning of our trip, and we’re SO thankful they did. It was by far the best food we ate during our stay in Australia. Though we wish we could have spent more time in Melbourne, and we’ve heard from friends that the city has incredible food among many other things… Shopping being one of them.

    Haley,
I first want to say,Thank You for allowing outsiders into Yours & Tyler’s seemingly private life. You do not have to share these amazing world wide moments with us, but the fact that you choose to do so is such a selfless act with considering WHOM you & Tyler are! So,Thank You!
Like most, I am an avid fan of FGL, but am finding myself becoming more of a fan for you! I look forward to your blogs and become excited when I know of an amazing trip that you and Tyler are about to embark upon because I know most of the time I will be able to read about it! Best wishes always for the best and the good for you & Tyler!
    -XOXO-
