Tyler and I have become pros when it comes to flying. Having the right travel essentials adds ease, and that little bit of added comfort. As most of you well know, flying takes a major toll on your body. Since most of our lives are spent on planes, we thought we would share some of our tips, tricks and favorite travel accessories that we’ve picked up along the way.

My girlfriends and I used to dance around our living room to this song on repeat with our brother-like neighbors, Brice and Brett Eldredge. After Tyler heard it for the first time, he wouldn’t stop bugging Brett about cutting it, and FINALLY 5 years later, it’s a single. YAY!! But more than just a single, Drunk On Your Love went #1!!
Our stay | Southern Ocean Lodge | Kangaroo Island – South Australia
Our first stop in Australia was Sydney, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. We stayed at the Park Hyatt Hotel, but this was not your average Hyatt. It sits directly on a peninsula on the Sydney Harbour overlooking the Opera House. We had a 360 view that was incredible, and if you ever plan to visit Sydney, this is the place to stay. The rooms were great, but it was the modern rooftop pool that topped it all off for us, and was the perfect way to spend an afternoon after our morning bridge climb.
Although we loved our time in Australia and the Barossa Valley wine country was gorgeous, we recommend that if you’re traveling to Australia for vacation, that your time and money would be better spent exploring the cities and the beautiful beaches and coastline. If you’re looking to travel for a luxury wine experience, we recommend Stellenbosch in South Africa, or for a little closer to home, Napa Valley, California....
Our stay at Qualia Resort was absolutely heavenly! Located on Hamilton Island of the Whitsunday Islands in Queensland, Australia, our private pavilion sat on a tropical hillside looking over the breathtaking views of the Coral Sea. Traveling with us were Aimee and Troy Grover, who have become close friends and travel buddies.
Tyler and I recently discovered one of our new favorite “go-to” meals. Spinach and goat cheese stuffed chicken served atop roasted asparagus, drizzled with an herbed cream sauce. This recipe was so easy!!
Let’s talk about L.O.V.E. — Know how important it is to Love yourself. It’s Okay to put you first. Take time to celebrate Victories big or small. Make sure you’re finding time to Enjoy all that life has to offer.
Tyler and I walked along the cobblestone streets, taking in all the character that the city has to offer. We passed through the Red Light district, acknowledging Amsterdam’s non-judgemental attitude on life or on one’s occupation. This city is a constant reminder that we should always keep an open mind to the different lifestyles people live.
She discusses the importance of not over committing ourselves, but to focus on the people and things that matter most to us. When we overload our schedules, we spread ourselves thin and are unable to give the appropriate love and attention to what or who is most important at that time.
