New York City is always booming with great restaurants, shopping and fun activities. It’s the hustle & bustle, the people, (the shopping…that’s a given), and the excitement from sun up to sun down that makes this one of my favorite cities.

We spent more time in NY last month than we did at home. From my first few solo days with my girls, to ending the month with our FGL fam & the boys album release, last month was crazy to say the least… Crazy exciting & crazy busy.

For those of you who live in New York I’m sure these are already some of your go-to’s or old news, but for those of you that don’t, and might be visiting soon, or looking for a fun getaway, here’s a few good eats and shops you don’t want to leave off your checklist while visiting the big apple.

My favorites: Make a reservation. – Order the Spinach, goat cheese, and herbs pizza; Crab toast with lemon aioli; Sea bass; Sugar snap pea salad with parmesan dressing and herbs, Cheeseburger and if they have the chocolate ganache cake pops they’re 100% worth the calories… and gluten.

Paintbox Nails

Paintbox nail studio/design with the girls. I HIGHLY recommend trying this if you’re looking to find a fun nail salon. They only do manicures, but you’ll see why when you go.  (I recommend NOT getting the Matte polish. It get’s dirty quickly)

Museum of Ice Cream

Gina scored us a couple tickets to satisfy our sweet tooth at the Museum of Ice Cream. It’s entertaining if you’re looking for something fun and goofy to do for an hour in the city.  Your inner child will thank you.

Also, The Rusty Knot is a really great “dive bar” with a fun atmosphere. Order the Rusty Knot cocktail. It’s so good you won’t regret it… or remember it.

Ellis Island

Last but not least we had a night to remember at Ellis Island celebrating our men, their new album Dig Your Roots, the launch of their May We All video, and the launch of their Old Camp Whiskey. If you haven’t been to Ellis Island I highly recommend.

Huge thanks to my girls, Abby + Colleen in NYC for the great recs & for always steering us in the right direction while we navigate our way around the city. This past month has been nothing short of amazing and a whirlwind. Happy we got to go home for a few days before we hit the road again for another 20 days straight! 🙂
