Our latest trip landed us in NYC, where the boys were about to not only play Madison Square Garden, but sell it out!! We knew this trip would be one for the books. Before our boys got there, we girls made some memories of our own. I ran around the city with B.Cole & Lauren, soaking up every second we had in New York. The best part of best friends, is they have a way of supporting you in the things you’ve been too scared to do alone. As soon as I told them I had been wanting more piercings, we found ourselves at Maria Tash all getting them.  I can honestly say that I wouldn’t go anywhere else for piercings. I waited over 6 months just to get to Maria Tash and it was worth the wait.  Their jewelry is beyond stunning, and I can see how people could get addicted to this… I mean, I got 3 piercings all at once, and between the three of us, we went home with 9 new earrings/piercings.  That’s not to mention BK & B.Cole’s trip back there the following day.  Something I’ll never forget is when Lauren was told she had pierced her own ears one too many times at church camp as a teen, and Maria Tash would not do the piercing.  Little did they know, this firecracker wasn’t leaving there without her new piercing…And she didn’t. We just couldn’t resist their teeny pave diamond earrings!

Long awaited piercings weren’t the only things I found on this trip. I have been tirelessly searching for the PERFECT white fur, and all along it had been waiting for me on the corner of Lexington & 57th. B.Cole and I always joke that we could make it blindfolded to Bloomingdales from our hotel. This time, my fur was the last one hanging in the Elizabeth & James section. If you ask me, it was waiting just for me. I didn’t think twice, I swiped that plastic and put that fur on. I didn’t even need a bag!

New piercings + new fur, and I was ready for our night out in Greenwich Village.  One of our favorite couples, Lauren & Thomas Rhett, introduced us to one of their favorite restaurants in NYC, Il Mulino.  They took me & Tyler, my sweet parents, and Virginia out on the town. Il Mulino was the most adorable, charming & authentic Italian place, and it got us even more excited for our Euro trip we were about to adventure off to! We enjoyed amazing food, laughter, vino, and more vino. If that wasn’t enough, we made sure to keep the grappa and limoncello shots flowing. There is no doubt that that night will go down in the books as one of the best.

The show at MSG wasn’t just a check on the guys’ bucket list, it was the best show I have seen yet. Thomas Rhett, Frankie Ballard and our FGL guys really knocked it out of the park. As if we needed another reason to celebrate, my mom and dad were in town for mama Suz’s birthday! So naturally, our party wasn’t stopping anytime soon! Our flight for Europe didn’t leave until 5pm the next day, so it was game on until we got on that plane! We tore up the night with some of my dearest high school & college friends, moscow mules, guided lilies, corner pizza joints, Happy Birthday songs, and shutting bars down… and no amount of crispies were going to keep them open. Translation: a crispy is Tyler’s word for one hundred dollar bills. By the time we got on our flight, there was a resounding “It’s 5:00 somewhere,” and we made a toast with our champagne to the adventure we just walked out of, and the one were about to fly into.

Next stop, Europe!
