Welcome to Class 101, where class is in session and in style.

The latest in fashion and style is classiness and confidence. You’re worth so much more than hoping people will like you if you’re “pretty enough,” or “sexy enough.”

Sex may sell, but it comes with a gift receipt for easy returns without you ever seeing the cost. Sex will never make him stay. Often, girls have sex to feel loved, and guys will portray love to get sex. It’s important that you read in-between the lines and know when it’s lust and when it’s love.

Confidence is in the way you walk, and the way you talk. Confidence is not exploiting your body to receive a compliment or attention from men. Confidence is showing that beauty comes from knowing that you’re beautiful without having to exploit yourself. Many times, insecurity is in the way you tear people down with your tongue. It takes confidence to compliment others and genuinely mean it.

I didn’t get Tyler by being his “hook up” girl. We were friends that fell in love, not because of each other’s appearance or status. We loved each other for the values we shared, and because we brought out the best in one another. Love is what you actually take home and keep home.

There are fairytales, they do exist. It’s having faith in God and patience in His plan, knowing that He will present Prince Charming when the time is right.

Be confident in who you are. Stand firm in your values. Know that you are beautiful. Be kind to others. But most importantly… Love yourself.

Oh, Hailey….that is beautifully written. I would love to share this with my daughter. She is only 11, and even at this young age, lacks some self confidence. She’s also extremely shy. I want her to know, while she’s still innocent, that true beauty comes from within. Thank you so much for sharing. May you, Tyler and your whole family have a wonderful holiday season!
